The Subaru Impreza WRX STI is synonymous with having a big wing. It is a signature piece for the model, stemming from its involvement in World Rally Car competition. The epitome of the WRX STI for many Subaru fans is the Impreza 22B STi.
Built to celebrate Subaru’s 40th anniversary and the fact it was dominating the FIA World Rally Car championship, the 22B featured a wider body, Bilstein suspension and slightly larger engine than the regular Impreza WRX STI. This led to the name of the model with the 22 referring to the 2.2-litre engine and the B referencing the Bilstein shocks.
The large rear wing on the car was also adjustable, adding a little more rally-car credibility to the model.
